02 · Part I
A stranger in the gorge
Rover wakes in the Gorges of Spirits with no memory of who they are or how they got there. Two Resonators, Yangyang and Chixia, have been looking after them. Until their real name comes back, they suggest calling them Rover.
03 · Part I
A warning in the wind
Yangyang senses a disturbance in the Etheric Sea: a Tacet Field may be forming nearby. Their communication devices have stopped working, so the group decides to meet up with Baizhi, their companion, and leave the gorge.
04 · Part I
A Resonator without memories
The Tacet Mark on Rover's hand and the gourd-shaped device they carry suggest they're a Resonator, someone with unusual abilities. But Rover's device looks different from the others. Yangyang explains that her own ability lets her read information carried by the wind's Streams.
05 · Part I
Instincts that remain
A Tacet Discord attacks along the path. Despite remembering nothing of their past, Rover knows how to fight. Soon afterward, a statue catches their attention.
07 · Part I
Jinzhou's Sentinel
The statue depicts Jué, the Sentinel of Jinzhou, who takes the form of a Loong. Yangyang explains that Huanglong's cities have their own Sentinels, believed to have once been a single entity. Rover's vision is especially strange: few people ever approach Jué, and that privilege is normally reserved for the Sentinel's Appointed Resonator—currently Jinzhou's Magistrate.

An unusual discovery
After another Tacet Discord encounter, Chixia explains how they found Rover: unconscious at the bottom of the gorge, apparently drowned, but with clear airways and completely dry clothes. Baizhi treated them before they woke up. At a nearby Resonance Beacon, Yangyang confirms that Rover's unfamiliar Pangu Terminal still supports basic functions.

The city beyond the gorge
Jinzhou is a fortified border city, protected by a barrier and a Resonance Nexus. It's where the group plans to head after meeting Baizhi.
10 · Part I
The sudden Tacet Field
At the gorge's exit, a Tacet Field has appeared without warning. Even Yangyang failed to sense its formation. They spot Baizhi at its center. Yangyang explains that a newly formed field can be relatively safe during its Dormant period, though longer dormancy can mean stronger Tacet Discords. They glide down to meet her.
12 · Part I
An unexpected threat
Baizhi checks Rover's condition and urges everyone to leave the Tacet Field. Before they can, a powerful Tacet Discord appears. The TD's ability creates a barrier and separates them.
14 · Part I
After the fight
Rover and Yangyang defeat the strange Tacet Discord. The barrier separating them from Chixia and Baizhi disappears. Something remains where the creature fell: a lingering Echo.
15 · Part I
What Echoes are
Yangyang explains that Echoes are the remaining Reverberations of defeated Tacet Discords. A Pangu Terminal can absorb them and make them usable in combat, provided its Data Bank is strong enough. Rover's Data Bank is only Level 0, so it cannot absorb this unusually powerful Echo.
17 · Prologue
An ancient account
Rover has absorbed an Echo directly into their body—something the others have never witnessed. Yangyang recalls an ancient Huanglong account of a celestial being who could do the same, long before Pangu Terminals existed. The story connects that figure to Pangu and the beginning of Huanglong's history.
It's an intriguing parallel, but an old account is not proof of who Rover is. Baizhi cautions against drawing conclusions without evidence.
18 · Part I
A message from the Magistrate
The communication signal returns, carrying a citywide broadcast from Jinhsi, the Magistrate of Jinzhou. She speaks about the upcoming Moon-chasing Festival and Jinzhou's role in defending Huanglong. Then she addresses a particular visitor—someone the city has been awaiting for a long time.
19 · Part I
The visitor Jinzhou awaits
Jinhsi acknowledges that this visitor may be confused by recent events and invites them to meet her at City Hall. She doesn't give a name, but Yangyang, Chixia, and Baizhi suspect she means Rover.
It isn't certain. Still, the invitation offers Rover their first real lead about the past. Baizhi also recommends a medical examination and another Echo-absorption test before they reach Jinzhou.
20 · Part II
Another test
The group defeats a Stonewall Bracer and asks Rover to try absorbing its Echo directly. This time, nothing happens. Whatever allowed Rover to absorb the earlier Echo doesn't seem to work on command.
21 · Part II
What the Terminal can do
Rover tries again using the Pangu Terminal. It successfully absorbs the ordinary Echo, confirming that the device's basic functions work despite its unusual design. The earlier absorption remains unexplained.
22 · Part II
Jinzhou in sight
The group approaches Jinzhou, where Rover hopes to learn why the Magistrate has been waiting for an unknown visitor.
24 · Part II
The road ahead
As they prepare to enter Jinzhou, the group agrees on what to do next. Yangyang will arrange Rover's meeting with the Magistrate. Baizhi will report the anomalies at the gorge and organize a medical examination. Chixia will accompany Rover into the city.
Rover still has no answers about their identity, but now there's somewhere to begin looking.
